Privacy Policy for Steam Focus

Last Updated: Nov 1, 2026

Steam Focus is operated by Robot Dreams LTD, United Kingdom (“we”, “us”, or “our”), which is responsible for the personal information described in this policy.

For privacy questions or requests, contact [email protected].

This policy covers Steam Focus, including Focus Connect, safety controls and individual purchases where available. Feature availability depends on your app version. In the updated iOS release, AppsFlyer has been removed and optional app-usage analytics is disabled. Earlier versions may behave differently, as explained below.

1. Information we collect

Account information

We use an account identifier to associate your saved information with your Steam Focus account. If you use Sign in with Apple, we may receive an email address, including an Apple private relay address, and information needed to authenticate your account.

Guest mode does not require an email address, but it can create a backend account identifier. Guest mode does not mean that no information is collected.

Focus sessions and preferences

Depending on the features you use, we process:

Some information is stored on your device, and some is saved with your account to support history, progress, personalization, and synchronization.

Focus Connect

Focus Connect is optional and uses invitation links that recipients choose to accept. We store your chosen display name, group name and membership, invitation identifiers and expiry, and the focus activity you choose to share. Shared activity includes session topics, start/end times and focused minutes. We use Supabase to store and process this information for the feature.

Accepted members of your group can see activity shared with them after connecting. Earlier sessions are not added to a new connection. You can turn off “Share new sessions” in Focus Connect settings; this applies to sessions you start next and does not delete earlier shared activity. Private sessions still contribute to your personal history and statistics. Group members who enable friend notifications may receive a notification containing your display name and shared topic after you finish and save a shared session. Starting a session does not send a friend notification. Offline saves can notify friends after synchronization; repeated saves of the same session do not send duplicate notifications. Friend-notification preferences are separate from reminder preferences.

Leaving a group ends access to its shared activity through that connection. If you created the group, leaving closes it for all members. Leaving is not a request to delete your account or personal session history, and it does not erase copies another member may already have made, such as screenshots or delivered notifications.
